The crew of engine ET 27, based at Carlton Fire Station, spent a fantastic day with us today. All classes had an opportunity to tour the fire engine and try some of the equipment out (getting soaking wet in the process!) as well as spending time learning about fire safety and the causes of fires. We also found out about the wide variety of incidents the Fire Brigade are called out to deal with and looked at the tools they use. Many thanks to the crew for giving up their time and giving us an insight to what the job entails!
