To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely. It would be much appreciated if you could park on Westdale Lane to help with congestion and keep our pupils and families safe.

At Haddon all our children are expected to attend for 32.5 hours per week. Learning begins at 8:45 and finishes at 15:15 each day.

• Morning break                 10.20-10.35
• Lunch                               12noon -1pm
• Afternoon break              5 minutes fresh air break (flexible time)
• Gates open                        3:10
• School ends                      3.15pm
• Afterschool club              3:15 - 17:50pm

SCHOOL CLOSURE

In the event that it snows heavily or is very icy overnight Mr Charlton and Miss Capek will make the decision as to whether or not school and Haddon Close are safe. In the unfortunate event we have to make the decision to close the school this will be done as early as possible to give us time to contact you. If school is shut we will send a text message, post information on Class Dojo, Twitter and on the website plus the local radio stations will be informed. If you do not hear from us please assume that school will be open as normal and any child absences will need to be reported as usual. We do appreciate how difficult it can be if school is unexpectedly closed and the decision to do so will not be taken lightly however we must remain very mindful of staff and children’s safety.
